2. Venue
The Event Center will be located at Hotel Madona in Madona Town. The World Cup Event will be held in Vidzeme Height, where the highest hill of Latvia Gaiziņš is situated.

The World Cup competition races will take place at Mailes Sports Centre in Vietalva, and the Smeceres Sils Cross Country / Biathlon Sports Centre in Madona.

Average daytime temperature in Madona in February is -5 to -10 C

4. Preliminary dates and types of competitions
Wed February, 1st
Arrival of the competitors; Model event at the Smeceres Sils Sports Centre.
Thu February, 2nd
WMOC Race 1 - Long Distance at the Mailes Centre,Vietalva.
The opening ceremony in Madona.
Fri February, 3rd
Rest day, Open competition in "Mailes", Vietalva
Sat February, 4th
WMOC Race 2 - Long Distance at the Smeceres Sils Centre, Madona.
The Banquet at the Madona Culture Centre.
Sun February, 5th
Open Relay race at the Smeceres Sils Centre, Madona (W/M 21, 120, 145, Open)
Mon February, 6th Departure of teams

5. Classes and participation restrictions
W/M 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85

Open for everybody, the class depends on age. (The participants in W/M 35 born not later than in 1971).
The start order for the first WMOC race will be drawn at random.
The start order for the second WMOC race will be in reverse of that of the first race.
WMOC medals will be awarded according to the sum of the results of the two races.

Relay W/M 21, 120*, 145*, 175*, Open (no restrictions)

*- the total age of all 3 team members; each member should be at least 35 years old (year of birth 1971 or earlier)

6. Terrain / training terrain
Terrain with detailed contour, mostly spruce forest, height differences up to 50 metres on one slope on each competition day.

7. Visas
Countries that need a visa for visiting Latvia ( www.mfa.gov.lv ):
-) send a complete name list for visas to the organizer by November 30, 2005
-) visa application forms will be sent out immediately after the receiving the name lists
-) visa application processing fee -EUR 10,-/person/

10. Accommodation
Accommodation and catering of participants is calculated for periods from February 1, 13.00 (lunch) until February 6, 12.00 (breakfast). Extra accommodation and catering are available at additional fee.

11.Transportation
For WMOC participants staying in Mārcienas Muiža Hotel or Smeceres Krogs Guest-house the transportation to and from Model Event, Race 1, Race 2, the opening ceremony and the closing banquet will be organized at additional fee (EUR 20,-). For transportation possibilities to the Open races or any other (e.g. Rīga – Madona – Rīga ) please contact the Event Secretary in advance.

15. Electronic punching system
EMIT electronic punching system will be used. Please note your personal EMIT numbers on registration forms.
EMIT card rent for the competition period (February 1–5) EUR 10.-
If a rented EMIT card is lost, the competitor has to pay 40 EUR replacement cost.

16. Media services
The Press Centre is situated at Madona Hotel.
Representatives from media are kindly asked to register by January 15, 2005 .
The Internet, fax and copying facilities are provided for media representatives in the Press Centre.
